About Us

Alpine Shutters and Window Fashions is not just your run of the mill, mini blind store. We are not about the eight-dollar blind you grab off the shelf and throw up into the window for a little privacy. We are not about slapping up some shutters so a person can have “plantation shutters” in their living room and keep up with the Jones’. We are about nothing less than a transformation of one of the most sacred and valuable things a person will ever own. The founders of the constitution considered this sacred item to be so valuable, that they almost wrote that each American would have the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of property”. In the end they chose the pursuit of happiness, recognizing that the idea of property ownership and human happiness were interchangeable ideas. Alpine Shutters and window fashions is about a transformation of the most basic, yet valuable aspect of each families’ life, their home.

When each person contacts Alpine Shutters and Window Fashions, they are inviting us into their home to assist them in this transformation. It is said that each person’s home is the ultimate reflection of who they are. How is the home furnished, what are their individual preferences and styles, what are their priorities? We are given the opportunity to help shape, influence and provide how each individual will express these aspects of their lives.

Many people also describe the home as a haven from the outside world. Our home is where we can “kick off our shoes and let down our guard”. The one true place of peace, where we can each be ourselves without fear of judgement or analysis. What an honor to be a part of bringing completion to each persons “haven”. You see, we are being given a unique opportunity to bring fulfillment to each homeowner’s pursuit of his or her own individual happiness.

Home is where the heart is, and our goal is to make each persons heart happy. Is this an overstatement of window coverings? I don’t think so, because each time our customer comes through their door, one of the first things they will see is our contribution to their own personal haven. Not many companies have an opportunity to daily contribute to so many different lives, in so simple a way. Each day we will remember that we are not putting shutters on some window; rather, we are participating in each person’s pursuit of their own happiness and expression of themselves.
